Challenge of Proposed Dismissal. If, pursuant to Article 9.1, an appropriate University administrator proposes dismissal of a Faculty Member, the Faculty Member may challenge the propriety and/or the severity of the proposed dismissal and/or may allege that proper disciplinary procedures were not followed. To access the formal grievance procedure, the Faculty Member must first complete or waive mediation. The Faculty Member must request or waive mediation within ten (10) days after receiving the notice of proposed dismissal.
