Change of Scheduled Shift. (a) An employee who is required to attend a proceeding pursuant to Clauses 11.01 (a)(i), 11.01 (c)(i) and (ii), or 11.02 (b) or (c), and who has been scheduled to work the evening shift immediately before or after the day shift on the day of the proceeding, shall have their scheduled shift changed to the day shift. In such circumstances, the employee shall then be granted a leave of absence from the day shift on the day of the proceeding. (b) Whether the employee will be granted a leave without pay or with pay for the employee’s scheduled regular hours of work under Clause (a) above will depend on what type of leave was granted to the employee pursuant to the applicable Article. (c) An employee who attends a proceeding pursuant to Clause (a) above at which they are required to spend less than four (4) hours shall report to work for the remainder of the day shift. (d) A scheduled shift which is changed pursuant to Clause (a) above shall not attract any extra pay as a result of insufficient notice of shift change. (e) An employee, whose scheduled shift is to be changed pursuant to Clause (a) above, shall provide their immediate supervisor with as much advance notice as possible of the day(s) they would be required to attend at the proceeding, with a minimum advance notice of forty-eight (48) hours.
