Change Order (CO). A CO is a written instrument prepared by the Architect and signed by the Owner (as authorized by the Owner’s Governing Board), the Contractor, and the Architect, stating their agreement upon (1) A description of a change in the Work, (2) The amount of the adjustment in the Contract Sum, if any; and (3) The extent of the adjustment in the Contract Time, if any.
