Common use of Change to Policies Clause in Contracts

Change to Policies. (A) The state shall provide reasonable notice to the Union of amendments to existing policies that result in a change to a mandatory subject of bargaining. (B) After notice, the Union may consult with the agency on a change to a mandatory subject of bargaining, provided that the Union makes a request in a reasonable timeframe. If consultation is unsuccessful, the matter will be referred to the DMS to bargain over the proposed change. (C) Where the proposed changes affect the entire bargaining unit and relate to mandatory subjects of bargaining, the Union and the state shall meet to bargain the proposed changes. (D) Nothing herein shall preclude the Union from filing a grievance if the proposed changes violate the Agreement.
