Common use of Changes and Additions to Scope of Services Clause in Contracts

Changes and Additions to Scope of Services. The CITY shall have the right at any time during the performance of the services, without invalidating this Agreement, to order extra services beyond that specified in the Scope of Services or make changes by altering, adding to, or deducting from said services. No payment for extra services caused by a change in scope or complexity of work shall be made, unless and until such extra services and a price therefore have been authorized in writing and approved by the CITY. Such written approval shall set forth the changes of work, extension of time for preparation, and adjustment of the fee to be paid by the CITY to CONSULTANT. No claim for said additional work shall be made unless such additional work has been specifically authorized in writing by the CITY.
