The "Changes in Job Description" clause defines the employer's right to modify an employee's duties, responsibilities, or reporting structure during the course of employment. Typically, this clause allows the employer to adjust the scope of work or assign new tasks as business needs evolve, provided such changes remain within reasonable limits or the employee's general area of expertise. Changes in Job Description. Prior to any changes in any job descriptions covered under this Agreement, the Association shall be notified of such anticipated change, and a meeting date shall be established to discuss the new job description. The Association’s input will be considered before any change is made in a job description. After such discussion, the ultimate determination of the final job description(s) shall be the right of the Superintendent. When a material change is made altering the essential functions of the position to the extent the person currently holding that position is not qualified to perform the job duties, the modified position will be posted for bid and the incumbent employee will be given the opportunity to exercise any seniority rights under the Reduction in Force procedures
Changes in Job Description. Prior to any changes in any job descriptions covered under this Agreement, the Association shall be notified of such anticipated change, and a meeting date shall be established to discuss the new job description. The Association's input will be considered before any change is made in a job description. After such discussion, the ultimate determination of the identity of the new job description(s) shall be the right of the Director of Operations. When a change is made, the modified position will be posted for bid. If the person in the position which is being changed is not awarded the modified position as a result of the bid procedure, that person has the right to displace another employee in the same department with less seniority. No current employee will forfeit his/her position due to a change in a job description, except in the event that same is required due to a change in state or federal law.
Changes in Job Description. When the duties of any job description are altered, or where there may be a position incorrectly classified, the employee or the Union may apply to the Employer for a job description review. Where the parties cannot reach agreement, either party may refer the matter to arbitration in accordance with Article 8. All wages and benefits adjustments shall be retroactive to the date the written reclassification application was submitted.
Changes in Job Description. If there are to be any changes in the existing job description for those positions covered under this Agreement, the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, shall notify the Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, in writing, and the Union shall be invited to submit written comments and alternative recommendations on the proposed changes to the Chief Executive Officer or designee, within seven (7) calendar days. The Union shall also be invited to submit comments as to wage changes indicated, if any, for the proposed changes in the job descriptions. In the event that there is significant disagreement between the proposed job description and the Union Committee's recommendations, the Chief Executive Officer shall convene a meeting for the purpose of hearing all viewpoints before the Chief Executive Officer makes a decision on the final job description.
