Chapter Representation. The grievant shall be entitled upon request to representation by the Association at all grievance meetings. In situations where the Association has not been requested to represent the grievant, the District will not agree to a final resolution of the grievance until the Association has received a copy of the grievance and the proposed resolution of the grievance and has been given a fifteen (15) calendar day opportunity to state its views on the grievance.
Chapter Representation. The grievant shall be entitled upon request to representation by the Association at all formal step grievance meetings. In situations where the Association has not been requested to represent the grievant, the District will not agree to a final resolution of the grievance until the Association has received a copy of the grievance and the proposed resolution, and has been given the opportunity to state its views on the matter. Ten (10) days will be considered an opportunity in this instance.
13.5.1 A Bargaining Unit Member may elect in writing to represent himself/herself rather than have the Association provide representation. If the grievant elects to represent himself/herself at Step II or beyond of this procedure, the Association shall be relieved of any further obligation or representation.
13.5.2 Except in instances of group grievances the grievant must be present at all times.

In situations where SEIU LOCAL 1021 has not been requested to represent the grievant, the District will not agree to a final resolution of the grievance until SEIU LOCAL 1021 has received a copy of the grievance and the proposed resolution, and has been given the opportunity to state its views on the matter. Chapter Representation. 22 The grievant shall be entitled upon request to representation by CSEA at all 23 grievance meetings. In situations where CSEA has not been requested to 24 represent the grievant, the District will not agree to a final resolution of the 25 grievance until CSEA has received a copy of the grievance and the proposed 26 resolution, and has been given the opportunity to state its views on the matter.
Chapter Representation. The Chapter shall appoint an Employee Committee of not more than three (3) members to attend grievance meetings scheduled pursuant to Step 3 and 4. The Chapter may appoint three (3) Stewards, one (1) from each shift (who may be the same persons selected for the Employee Committee), to participate in the grievance procedure to the extent set forth in Step 1 and Step 2 of the grievance procedure. The Chapter shall notify the Village Manager in writing of the names of employees serving on the Employee Committee and as Stewards. One (1) representative of the Executive Board of the Chapter and/or the Chapter’s legal counsel shall have the right to participate in Steps 3, 4 and 5 of the grievance procedure.
Chapter Representation. Any member of the bargaining unit presenting a grievance at any step of the procedures described herein may choose to be accompanied by a representative of the Chapter.
Chapter Representation. The Chapter Grievance Committee comprised of the Chapter's Executive Board and its legal counsel may appear at any meeting held pursuant to this grievance procedure, provided that, if either party desires to have counsel present, it shall give a three (3) day notice of that fact to the other party which notice may be waived.
