CHARGE HAND DEFINITIONS. A Chargehand is an employee who is assigned to instruct others in the performance of their work and may be held responsible for the quality and quantity of work. Any employee working as chargehand will receive the appropriate premium above the highest classification supervised or above his own rate, whichever is the greater. Premium - Chargehand - $1.00 per hour While training may be included within the duties of a charge hand the fact that an employee is assigned training duties does not constitute that employee to be a charge hand.
