Cheat Grass Bacteria. A bacterium is in development that has early promising results for controlling cheat grass. However, the bacterium is not currently approved for use on USFS lands. If the bacterial treatment gets approval in the coming years, the USFS may conduct some trials within the RRWA and request reimbursement from Chelan PUD for improving wildlife habitat within the RRWA.
