Common use of City Contribution to PERS Clause in Contracts

City Contribution to PERS. The City shall pay directly to PERS twenty dollars ($20.00) per month as a contribution towards the PEMHCA plan medical insurance premium for each active unit member and retired unit member who elects to enroll in a PHEMCA medical plan.

City Contribution to PERS. The City shall pay directly to PERS twenty one hundred and twenty-eight dollars ($20.00128.00) per month as a contribution towards toward the PEMHCA plan medical insurance premium for each active unit member and retired unit member retiree who elects to enroll in a PHEMCA PEMHCA medical plan. As required by Government Code Section 22892, the City’s contribution shall be $128.00 per month. These increased City contribution rates shall remain in effect only as long as required by law.

As required by Government Code Section 22892, commencing January 1, 2009, the City’s contribution shall be adjusted annually by PERS to reflect any change in the medical care component of the Consumer Price Index and shall be rounded to the nearest dollar. These increased City contribution rates shall remain in effect only as long as required by law.
