Class B - Medium Duty. a) An Operator shall maintain a minimum of one tow truck with a GVWR of at least 26,001 pounds. The truck shall be capable of providing and maintaining continuous air to the towed vehicle. All Class B tow trucks with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds currently approved for SBSD Class B rotation tow lists will be allowed to remain on the Class B rotation list until June 30, 2010. Class B equipment specifications can be found in Attachment C of this Agreement. b) Tow Companies continuously used on rotation for SBSD, whose equipment was previously approved and owned by the same Operator but lacks air brakes, and/or a tractor protection valve or device, may apply for and receive a Class B rotation tow listing if the tow truck is capable of supplying continuous air to the towed vehicle from its engine mounted air compressor and its equipped with an air gauge.
