Class B - Medium Duty. a. The tow service shall maintain at least one tow truck with a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 19,501 to 33,000 pounds. The truck shall be capable of providing air to the towed vehicle. Class B equipment must include a 19,501 to 33,000 GVWR chassis and 150 feet of 7/16” 6x19 cable or OEM specifications. • The tow service may also have a car carrier; however, the car carrier must be an additional unit. A Class B (cc) must be equipped with a 19,501 + GVWR chassis and 50 feet of 3/8” 6x19 cable or OEM specifications.
