Class (Column) Placement. 8.3.1.1 Faculty are initially placed on one of the salary schedule columns based on degree and credit units earned in the discipline hired. 8.3.1.2 Column placement shall be based on upper division and graduate level courses taken beyond the earned Bachelor's degree in the faculty member's primary discipline and in subjects relevant to the faculty member's position. 8.3.1.3 If a faculty member has not earned a Bachelor's degree or has achieved a Bachelor's degree, they shall be placed and remain on Column I. 8.3.1.4 Faculty placement on columns II through V must have an earned Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in the area which the College has designated as the primary discipline.
