Common use of Class Load Clause in Contracts

Class Load. 1. The teaching load of a teacher of the secondary school (six through twelve) will be limited to not more than five (5) preparations of different subject areas and/or levels. 2. It is recognized by the Board that the pupil-teacher ratio is an important aspect of an effective educational program. The Board agrees to continue its efforts to keep class sizes within the recommended levels below as dictated by the financial condition of the District, the building facilities available, and the availability of qualified teachers.
