Classroom Assignments. After the principal has designated an area for a grade level or department, seniority within that grade level or department will be considered in making specific room assignments. Other considerations shall include special equipment related to the subject and special needs of students and/or teachers.
Classroom Assignments. Upon the approval of the Vice President for Academic Services, or designee, multiple sections of the same course may be assigned for lecture purposes in the large lecture halls. Unit members teaching these combined sections will receive the same compensation as they would have had the sections been offered in separate classrooms.
Classroom Assignments. Every consideration will be made to reduce the number of different classroom assignments for shared-time teachers.
Classroom Assignments. Teachers shall be notified in writing no later than June 1 of their classroom assignment for the forthcoming year. Should changes and/or adjustments in classroom assignments be necessary after June 1 or during the school year, the affected teacher(s) will be notified in writing as promptly as possible. The final decision making covering all classroom assignments shall remain with the Administration.
Classroom Assignments. Teachers shall receive their tentative classroom assignments for the next school year no later than the final day of the previous school year. Assignments may be changed for emergency reasons upon notification to the teacher involved to meet the educational needs of students.
Classroom Assignments. 11.5.1 To the extent reasonably possible, teachers shall stay in the same classroom(s) each year. When possible, if a teacher must change a classroom(s) for the following school year, they will be notified by the end of the school year. This provision will not apply in the event that DCP must move teachers due to relocation imposed by external parties or events.
11.5.1.1 Teachers will have the option to request a classroom transfer for the following school year by June 1.
11.5.2 Teachers will be notified of their primary classroom assignment for the following school year by June 15.
11.5.3 Unit members shall have access to their classroom(s) beginning on August 1 of each school year.
11.5.4 Instructional coaches shall have a dedicated workspace at one of the school sites for which they are assigned.
11.5.5 Education Specialists shall have a dedicated workspace at each school site.
Classroom Assignments. 9H01 The College acknowledges that it is useful for the administration to consult with faculty members about the changing of classroom assignments and that this past practice will be continued. Further, it is agreed that the Administration will consult with the Chapter concerning what faculty members believe are unsatisfactory working conditions and the Administration will use its best efforts to help change the unsatisfactory situation(s). The Administration also agrees to consult with faculty members about their classroom needs prior to the assignment of rooms. For teaching facilities which have been assigned for scheduled classes, such classes shall take precedence over all other activities during those class days and times.
Classroom Assignments. Administrators of the secondary schools will schedule the majority of the classroom teachers assigned classes within a building in no more than two (2) teaching stations per day. Specifically excluded from the configuration of two (2) teaching stations are homeroom assignments, study hall stations, tutorial stations, business education stations, science laboratories, computer laboratories, physical education instructional stations, home economics and industrial arts instructional sites and like areas that require the permanent or continued utilization of equipment to maintain the instructional program. An effort will be made to assign secondary itinerant resource personnel or educational program specialists in no more than two (2) teaching stations per building. The rotation of multiple room assignments in excess of two (2) teaching stations per teacher will be rotated on a yearly basis in so far as the development of the building master schedules will permit It is understood and agreed that this Memorandum of Understanding is applicable only for the duration of this Agreement, and is nonprecedential setting on behalf of both the Penn Hills Education Association and the Penn Hills School District.
Classroom Assignments. Teachers notified of a room assignment change from June 30th –July 15th shall receive two days of summer pay at the per diem rate for the upcoming contract year. Teachers notified of these changes after July 16th shall receive four days of summer pay at the per diem rate for the upcoming contract year.
Classroom Assignments. Teachers shall not be assigned beyond the scope of their licensure unless the District applies with a variance from MDE and Board of Teaching.
