(1) The parties recognise that client aggression is a workplace health and safety issue affecting some public sector workplaces and agree that violence and aggression by clients towards staff is not acceptable.
(2) The employer commits to providing personal safety training to all employees via an appropriate medium. This training will focus on strategies to ensure personal safety in the workplace, including planned approaches in particular scenarios and de-escalation of conflict and aggressive behaviour in others.
