Common use of Clothing Selection Clause in Contracts

Clothing Selection. For the purpose of selecting protective clothing approved for use by employees the City shall establish a special safety committee. The membership of the special safety committee shall consist of the Fire Chief, City Safety Coordinator, President of the Fire Department Safety Committee and a Union member. This committee shall also hear appeals on determination of need for replacement, repair or maintenance. If the Special Safety Committee fails to reach agreement, the dispute shall be referred to the City Safety Committee whose decision shall be final.
