  • Trunk Side A Central Office Switch connection that is capable of, and has been programmed to treat the circuit as, connecting to another switching entity, for example, to another carrier’s network. Trunk side connections offer those transmission and signaling features appropriate for the connection of switching entities and cannot be used for the direct connection of ordinary telephone station sets.

  • Line Side An End Office connection that provides transmission, switching and optional features suitable for Customer connection to the public switched network, including loop start supervision, ground start supervision and signaling for BRI- ISDN service.

  • Changes Due to a Life Event After the initial enrollment period and outside of any open enrollment period, an employee may elect to change health or dental coverage (including adding or canceling coverage) and any applicable employee contributions in the following situations (as long as allowed under the applicable provisions, regulations, and rules of the federal and state law in effect at the beginning of the plan year). The request to change coverage must be consistent with a change in status that qualifies as a life event, and does not include changing health or dental plans, which may only be done under the terms of Section 5A above. Any election to add coverage must be made within thirty (30) days following the event, and any election to cancel coverage must be made within sixty (60) days following the event. (An employee and a retired employee may add dependent health or dental coverage following the birth of a child or dependent grandchild, or following the adoption of a child, without regard to the thirty (30) day limit.)   • Termination Due To Lack of Funds a. In the event funds to finance this Contract become unavailable, the Department may terminate the Contract upon no less than twenty-four (24) hours written notice to the Vendor. Said notice shall be delivered by certified mail, return receipt requested, or in person with proof of delivery. The Department shall be the final authority as to the availability of funds.

  • Allocation of Subordinate Reduction Amount to the Reference Tranches On each Payment Date prior to the Termination Date, after allocation of the Senior Reduction Amount and the Tranche Write-down Amount or Tranche Write-up Amount, if any, for such Payment Date as described above, the Subordinate Reduction Amount will be allocated to reduce the Class Notional Amount of each Class of Reference Tranche in the following order of priority, in each case until its Class Notional Amount is reduced to zero:

  • RECIPROCAL PREFERENCE In the event the lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted in response to any Invitation for Bids is by a bidder whose principal place of business is in a county other than Orange County, and such county grants a bid preference for purchases to a bidder whose principal place of business is in such county, then Orange County may award a preference to the (next) lowest responsive and responsible bidder having a principal place of business within Orange County, Florida. Such preference will be equal to the preference granted by the county in which the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has its principal place of business except as provided below. Effective July 1, 2015 the reciprocal local preference will not apply to construction services in which 50 percent or more of the cost will be paid from state-appropriated funds which have been appropriated at the time of the competitive solicitation. If the solicitation involves a federally funded project where the funding source requirements prohibit the use of state and/or local preferences, the reciprocal local preference will not be applied.

  • Unbundled Loop Modifications (Line Conditioning 2.5.1 Line Conditioning is defined as routine network modification that BellSouth regularly undertakes to provide xDSL services to its own customers. This may include the removal of any device, from a copper Loop or copper Sub-loop that may diminish the capability of the Loop or Sub-loop to deliver high-speed switched wireline telecommunications capability, including xDSL service. Such devices include, but are not limited to, load coils, excessive bridged taps, low pass filters, and range extenders. Excessive bridged taps are bridged taps that serves no network design purpose and that are beyond the limits set according to industry standards and/or the XxxxXxxxx XX 00000.
