COMMUNICATION REGARDING PERSONS SERVED. In order to facilitate a successful outcome for the consumer, it is critical that the DORS counselor and TLC/OUTCOMES staff communicate frequently. While written reports are an important, formal means to communicate progress, additional communication should occur on an as-needed basis to supplement formal reporting. Staff of TLC/Outcomes and DORS are encouraged to communicate often by phone, teleconference, email or informally in person; such communication should be documented in the record.
