Community Living and Interpersonal Skills. Clients shall attend and participate in a Community Meeting each morning following breakfast. This meeting serves as a check-in, provides opportunity to give and receive support, and informs of the day’s events. Additionally, the facility will encourage the clients to hold Client Council meetings weekly. These meetings will be called and held in the facility by the elected community designate, with all clients encouraged to participate. During this time, issues are identified that affect the community as a whole, such as housekeeping, interpersonal problems between clients, sharing information and offering suggestions. The therapeutic focus of this meeting will be on how patients are progressing and the sharing of their daily individual goals. Peer support and encouragement are emphasized.
