Compensation for Employees on 40 Hour Schedule. Compensation for employees assigned to a 40-hour, 4/10 work shift shall be provided at the rate of ten (10) hours for each holiday worked, and for each holiday which falls on a regularly scheduled day off. If, however, an employee is absent from work in a paid leave status on a scheduled work day on which a holiday occurs, employee shall receive up to ten (10) hours holiday pay on this day in lieu of the paid leave which would otherwise apply. Employees not otherwise scheduled to work on holiday(s) shall nonetheless be allowed to work said holidays.
