COMPENSATION FOR TRAVEL. 18.01 When an employee is required by the Employer to travel outside of their headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the Employer, their method of travel shall be determined by the Employer and the employee shall be compensated in the following manner: a) On a normal working day on which the employee travels only or travels and works, they shall receive their regular pay for that day. b) On a day of rest or on a paid holiday, the employee shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate provided the total payment for such travel time does not exceed seven (7) hours at the employee's applicable overtime rate, except that if an employee travels and works on a day of rest or on a paid holiday, their total compensation for travel and work on each such day shall not exceed seven (7) hours at the applicable overtime rate, exclusive of the employee’s normal salary entitlement for a paid holiday. 18.02 When an employee is required by the Employer to travel outside their headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the Employer, their method of travel shall be determined by the Employer and the employee shall be compensated in the following manner: a) On a normal working day on which the employee travels, they shall be paid: i) their normal pay for the day up to the first seven (7) hours, ii) at the applicable overtime rate for additional work and/or travel time in excess of seven (7) hours period of work and travel, to a maximum payment not to exceed seven

COMPENSATION FOR TRAVEL.
18.01 21.01 When an employee is required by the Employer UPCE to travel outside of their headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the EmployerUPCE, their the method of travel shall be determined by the Employer UPCE in accordance with the PSAC Travel Policy and the employee he shall be compensated in the following manner:
(a) On a normal working day on which the employee travels only or travels and worksbut does not work, they the employee shall receive their regular pay for that the day.;
(b) On a normal working day on which the employee travels and works, the employee shall be paid:
(i) Their regular pay for the day for a combined period of travel and work not exceeding seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours; and
(ii) At the applicable overtime rate for additional travel time in excess of seven and one-half (7 1/2) hour period of work and travel, with a maximum payment for such additional travel time not to exceed seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours' pay at the hourly rate of pay;
(c) On a day of rest or on a paid holiday, the employee shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate provided the total payment for such travel time does not exceed seven and one-half (77 1/2) hours at the employee's applicable overtime straight-time rate, except that if an employee travels and works on a day of rest or on a paid holiday, their the employee total compensation for travel and work on each such day shall not exceed seven and one-half (77 1/2) hours at the applicable overtime rate, exclusive of the employee’s normal salary entitlement for a paid holiday.
18.02 When (d) For greater certainty, all employees, including an employee is officer, required by the Employer UPCE to travel outside their headquarters area, and such travel is approved by the EmployerUPCE, their method of travel shall be determined by the Employer and the employee shall be compensated in the following manner:

19.04 For each three (3) nights an employee remains in overnight travel status, the employee shall be entitled to claim the cost of a maximum payment not five (5) minutes telephone call to exceed seventhe employee's place of residence.
