Common use of Compensation for Unused Sick Leave Accrual Upon Retirement Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Unused Sick Leave Accrual Upon Retirement. Each eligible employee in the department who retires shall be compensated, effective as of the date of his/her retirement, at the rate of one fourth (.25) of his/her daily salary for each day of sick leave accrued to his/her credit as of his/her last day on the active payroll up to a maximum payment equivalent to sixty (60) days’ pay.

Each eligible employee in the department Branch who retires on or after July 1, 1978, shall be compensated, effective as of the date of his/his/ her retirement, at the rate of one one-fourth (.251/4) of his/her daily salary for each day of sick leave accrued to his/her credit as of his/her last day on the active payroll up to a maximum payment equivalent to sixty (60) days’ days pay.
