Common use of Compensation/Maximum Clause in Contracts

Compensation/Maximum. In consideration of CONTRACTOR's fulfillment of the promised work, COUNTY shall pay CONTRACTOR at the rates and/or in the amount(s) set forth in Exhibit "B". The maximum payment for the initial term of this Agreement, and the successive maximum payments for each subsequent automatically renewed term, shall each be that maximum amount set forth on page 1; provided, however, that such amounts shall not be construed as guaranteed sums, and compensation shall be based upon services actually rendered and reimbursable expenses actually incurred.
