Common use of Concrete General Clause in Contracts

Concrete General. Concrete shall consist of cement, graded aggregate and water thoroughly mixed, placed and compacted as specified. Before starting concreting the Contractor shall obtain formal written permission for concreting from the Engineer or his representative on site. The Engineer or his representative shall allow concreting after ascertaining the required lines and levels, suitability of formwork, availability of required plant and labour, proper fabrication and spacing of the steel bars and quality and quantity of cement and aggregates.
