Common use of Conditions of Access Clause in Contracts

Conditions of Access. 10.2.1 A teacher shall submit a written request to a designated official of the Ministry of Education or board of education for an opportunity to examine the contents of the teacher’s personnel and medical files. 10.2.2 The designated official shall arrange with the teacher for an appointment to examine the information in the presence of said official or alternate at the office of the Ministry of Education or school board office during regular business hours. 10.2.3 The file contents examined may not be removed by the teacher from the location of the examination, but the designated official shall, at the request of the teacher, provide a copy of any or all records to which the teacher has been granted access. 10.2.4 Materials examined by the teacher may not be amended or deleted without the approval of the Ministry of Education or board of education. 10.2.5 The Ministry of Education or any board of education shall not charge a fee for access to a teacher’s file by the teacher.
