Conference and Visitation Leave. 21.1 Teachers may apply for leave to visit other schools, classrooms, industry, and attend conferences. 21.2 Request for a conference or a visitation will be made directly to the School Director or supervisor for appropriate action. Reasonable efforts will be made to allocate the available days among the teachers who request days taking into consideration unanticipated needs. 21.3 The District shall have the right to reasonably inquire regarding use of leave. Misuse of leave as outlined in this Article will result in loss of cumulative leave days, and/or pay at the employee’s per diem rate.
