Common use of Confirmation of Certification Clause in Contracts

Confirmation of Certification. The County may, at its own expense, require an employee to obtain a second medical certification from a health care provider. The County may choose the health care provider for the second opinion with certain restrictions. If the opinions of the employee’s and the County’s health care providers differ, the County may require the employee to obtain a certification from a third health care provider at the County’s expense. This third opinion, by a health care provider jointly approved by the County and the employee, shall be final and binding.
