(a) (i) A Faculty Member who is unable to perform that Faculty Member’s normal assignment because of illness and/or injury and has been absent from work for up to thirty-six (36) consecutive months and who becomes medically capable of resuming the full responsibilities of that Faculty Member’s position shall return to the continuing or recurring position held immediately prior to the absence.
