Container Standards. 1. All Carts shall be manufactured by injection or rotational molding methods and shall be of a standard that is greater or equivalent to that of the Carts currently in use. Contractor provided Containers shall be designed and constructed to be watertight and prevent the leakage of liquids. Carts provided to Customer shall have a useful life of ten (10) or more years as evidenced by a manufacturer’s warranty or other documentation acceptable to the City, and shall be depreciated over ten (10) years.

The Cart handles and handle mounts may be an integrally molded part of the Cart body or molded as part of the lid. The Cart handles shall provide comfortable gripping area for pulling or pushing the Cart or lifting the lid. Pinch points are unacceptable Carts provided to Customer shall have a useful life of ten (10) or more years or more as evidenced by a manufacturer’s warranty or other documentation acceptable to the City.
Container Standards. All Approved Recyclables Containers shall be for 180 single sort recyclables and shall meet County standards for in-mold labeling, 181 identifying recyclable and non-recyclable/hazardous materials. All containers 182 shall have a ten (10) year warranty and shall remain the property of the 183 Contractor. 184
