Common use of Continuation and/or Promotion in the Program Clause in Contracts

Continuation and/or Promotion in the Program. Continuation and/or promotion in the Program are contingent upon satisfactory academic and professional performance by Resident, as evaluated through the Hospital’s evaluation procedures for the Program. In addition, each Resident shall review his/her performance regularly with the Program Director or designee during the academic year or as otherwise dictated by specialty requirements. Any makeup time must be completed at the end of each year of the Term and/or before promotion to the next level of training. A Resident receiving an unsatisfactory evaluation may be required to repeat the rotation/assignment to obtain approval for certification by the Program Director.
