Common use of Continuing Legal Education Requirements Clause in Contracts

Continuing Legal Education Requirements. Contractor shall ensure that all contract attorneys providing representation under this contract: (a) Obtain 12 hours of continuing legal education credits related to the practice of juvenile law during each year of this contract, if the attorney is handling juvenile court cases; (b) Obtain 12 hours of continuing legal education credits related to the practice of criminal law during each year of this contract, if the attorney is handling criminal court cases; and (c) For attorneys with mixed caseloads including both juvenile and criminal cases, obtain 12 hours of continuing legal education credits during each year of this contract, apportioning those credits between programs related to juvenile and criminal law according to the percentage of the attorney’s cases assigned under this contract in each of those practice areas.
