Continuous Driving Sample Clauses

The Continuous Driving clause establishes the requirement for a vehicle or equipment to operate without unnecessary interruptions over a specified period. In practice, this means that the operator must keep the machinery running continuously, except for scheduled breaks or essential maintenance, ensuring that the work progresses efficiently. This clause is primarily used to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, addressing the need for consistent operation in projects where delays could lead to increased costs or missed deadlines.
Continuous Driving. Employees given a continuous driving assignment will be paid in accordance with the following: In each twenty-four (24) hour period each will be paid eight (8) hours at the basic rate, eight (8) hours at the appropriate premium rates and eight (8) hours at no pay (rest period). On Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays the appropriate premium rates shall apply. The total time of the trip shall be determined from the time the employees start work on the day the trip commences till the time the employees finish work on the day the trip ends. (From work headquarters and return to work headquarters). With less than three (3) days' notice the appropriate rate for lack of notice shall apply to the first eight (8) hour basic rate period.

  • Continuous Operations Any employee or group of employees engaged in an operation for which there is regularly scheduled employment on a twenty-four (24) hour a day, seven (7) day a week basis shall be known as continuous operations employees.
