CONTRACT AWARD. 7.1 It is the Town’s intent to award one (1) contract to the responsive and eligible bidder offering the lowest contract price on the form for general bid. The low Bidders who are under consideration will be invited to attend and observe the selection process.

The City may accept as few as none or as many as two (2) alternates, provided, however, that the City may accept a specific alternate only if it has accepted all prior numbered alternates. CONTRACT AWARD. 7.1 It is the Town’s intent to award one One (1) contract will be awarded to the Qualified Contractor providing the lowest bid for the housing rehab work. The City will, on behalf of the Applicant, select the responsive and eligible bidder offering responsible Bidder submitting the lowest contract price on the form for general bid. A contract will be awarded Grand Total within thirty sixty (3060) days, days (Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, ) after the opening of bids. 7.2 The Town City reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all Bids if it be in the public interest to do so. If a contractor wishes to submit a bid but is not pre-qualified, it can apply for qualification on or prior to the award and within five (5) days, Saturday, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, the successful Bidder shall execute and deliver to the Town a contract in the form included in the Contract Documents in such number of counterparts as the Town may require. 7.6 In the event that the Town receives low bids in identical amount from two or more responsive and responsible Bidders, the Town shall select the successful Bidder by a blind selection process such as flipping a coin or drawing names from a hatbid submission date. Bidders may submit bids for one or both Models. The City shall award the Town’s intent contract to the General Bidder submitting either (i) the lowest Base Bid or (ii) the lowest Base Bid plus Alternate Bid # 1(1) or (iii) the lowest Base Bid plus Alternate Bid # 1 and Alternate Bid #2, as the City may elect. General Bidders may, if properly certified in a sub trade, self perform that subtrade. Prior to the the opening of the general bids, the City shall receive and screen all filed sub-bids and provide a tabulation sheets to all contractors that have notified the City that they intend to submit a general bid in order that they may select sub-bidders for inclusion in their bids.
