Common use of Contracted Work Clause in Contracts

Contracted Work. 13.1. The Employer and the Union agree that bargaining unit employees will have priority assignment to all maintenance and custodial work performed in the District with operational funds. 13.2. In the event of specific time constraints and/or emergencies, the Employer may supplement the existing work force by using contracted services on an “as needed” basis only. At no time will the use of contracted services result in the reduction or lay-off of bargaining unit employees.
