Corrective Discussion. Disciplinary action will not be taken, except in cases requiring immediate suspension or discharge or in cases involving the violation of federal and/or state law, unless the supervisor has previously held a corrective discussion with the employee for the purpose of identifying perceived work-related problems or behavior. The supervisor will prepare a written record of the corrective discussion and the expected outcomes, to which the employee will be given an opportunity to prepare a brief written response.
