Common use of Court Leave—Paid Clause in Contracts

Court Leave—Paid. 5.17.1 A member shall be granted leave to appear as a witness in court other than as a litigant or to respond to an official order from another governmental jurisdiction for reasons not brought about through the connivance or misconduct of the member. 5.17.2 A member shall be entitled to as many days paid leave for jury duty as required to fulfill his/her duties under the law. Fees paid the member by the court, other than for mileage, shall be remitted to the District.
