Common use of Covered Relationship Clause in Contracts

Covered Relationship. The Contractor shall notify Owner of the existence of a ‘covered relationship’ as defined by 5 CFR 2635.502(a) & (b) between the Contractor and Owner which creates at a minimum an apparent conflict of interest. The Contractor shall notify Owner of the covered relationship and provide detailed information and justification (including, for example, mitigation measures) as to why the relationship under this Agreement does not create an actual conflict of interest.
