Common use of Creation of New Positions Clause in Contracts

Creation of New Positions. (a) In the event that a new position (title) of responsibility not already covered in the Agreement is required within the system for Teachers subject to this Agreement, the creation of the new position and an appropriate allowance shall first be discussed with the Joint Relations Committee established under Article 6.1. Such committee shall report its recommendation(s) to the Employer and the Union within fourteen (14) days. The Employer and the Union shall consider the recommendation with respect to the creation of the new position and allowance. (b) If no agreement is reached through negotiations, the dispute may be determined by mediation as per Article 9.9 and/or arbitration as per Articles 9.8 or 9.11.
