Higher Duties. (a) An employee engaged in any duties carrying a higher wage rate than the classification in which they are ordinarily employed in any one day or shift will be paid at the higher wage rate for:
(i) the time so worked for two hours or less; or
(ii) full day or shift where the time so worked exceeds two hours.
(b) Higher duties allowance does not apply to Registered Nurse levels 4 and 5.
Higher Duties. 29.1 Where an Employee on any one day performs two or more classes of work to which different rates of pay are applicable, the Employer shall pay to the Employee the higher hourly rate for the entire day if the Employee is required to work in that class of work for more than 2 hours, and if for less than 2 hours during any one day the Employee will be paid the higher rate for the time so worked.
Higher Duties. An employee engaged on duties carrying a higher rate of wages than his/her ordinary classification, shall be paid the higher wage for the time so engaged.
Higher Duties. 10.2.1 A higher duties allowance shall be paid to an employee who, at the request of the employer is substantially performing the duties and carrying the responsibilities of a position or grade higher than the employee’s own.
10.2.2 Except as provided for under clause 10.2.3, the higher duties allowance payable shall be $3.00 per hour provided a minimum of 8 consecutive hours of qualifying service is worked per day or shift.
10.2.3 Where an employee performs the duties of the higher position for more than five consecutive days (or, for example, three consecutive days when 12 hour shifts are worked, or four consecutive days when working 10 hour shifts), the allowance payable shall be the difference between the current salary of the employee acting in the higher position, and the minimum salary the employee would receive if appointed to that position.

An employee who is called upon to perform the duties of another employee in a higher classification under this Agreement for a period of five consecutive working days or more shall be paid for the period for which duties are assumed at a rate not less than the minimum rate prescribed for the classification applying to the employee so relieved.
Higher Duties. 3.11.1 An employee who is required by the employer to substantially perform the duties and carry out the responsibilities of a higher graded position for five consecutive working days or more shall be granted a higher duties allowance.
3.11.2 The amount of the higher duties allowance will be an additional 5% on the employee’s existing pay rate/salary (excluding allowances) for the period when the employee performs the duties and carries out the responsibilities of the higher graded position.
3.11.3 The allowance shall be paid from the first day of acting up, including the first five days.
3.11.4 The allowance shall be included in the employee’s pay rate/salary in order to calculate the appropriate holiday pay for that employee.
Higher Duties. A practitioner who is directed by the Employer to act in a position which carries a higher rate of pay than that which they usually perform, and who performs the full duties and accepts the full responsibility of the higher position for more than ten consecutive working days, shall be paid the higher rate whilst so engaged.
Higher Duties. An employee engaged for more than 2 hours during one day on duties carrying a higher rate than the employee's ordinary classification will be paid the higher rate for such day. If for 2 hours or less during one day the employee will be paid the higher rate for the time so worked.
Higher Duties. 19.1 An employer may direct an employee to temporarily perform duties applicable to a classification higher than their current classification.
19.2 Where the employee performs such duties for more than five days, or one day for a school operational services employee, and those duties constitute the whole or substantially the whole type of duties which would attract the higher classification, the employee will be paid the rate of pay applicable to the higher classification for the whole period during which the duties are performed.
