Credit for Non-Academic Experience. Full-time faculty may apply to have non-academic experience relevant to their effectiveness in their assignment as an instructor evaluated for advancement credit on the salary schedule. In order to assure credit, the faculty member shall obtain approval of the non-academic experience consistent with Article 8.9.3.1. To receive credit of approved, non-academic experience, the faculty shall submit a written report of the work completed and its relevant value, including written certification of non-academic experience, on forms provided by the District. Such experience shall be credited according to PRC procedures as set forth in Section 10.4. Sixty (60) hours of non-academic work shall be required to earn one (1) unit. A maximum of six (6) unit equivalents may be credited to any single class movement.
