Current Requests for Water Carriage Contract Sample Clauses

Current Requests for Water Carriage Contract. Following passage of Public Law 106-549, the District received requests for carriage of non- project water from: 1. Xxxx Xxxxxxx, carriage of 1.0 cubic feet per second (cfs) (up to 60 acre-feet) 2. Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx, carriage of 0.5 cfs (up to 30 acre-feet) 3. Xxxxxxx Ranch, carriage of 2.521 cfs (up to 375 acre-feet) According to the applicants, carriage of these non-project water quantities through the Inlet Canal, Xxxxxxx Gulch Reservoir, and the Outlet Canal would enable these irrigators to utilize their private, non-project water in a more efficient manner. In addition, based on its management and operational requirements, the District has determined that there is excess capacity available in project facilities and that carriage of non-project irrigation water would not be incompatible with the use and purpose for which the facilities were constructed. The District has therefore requested Reclamation’s approval of water conveyance through these three carriage contracts.
