Custodial/Maintenance Department. A. When schools are not in session, all custodial/maintenance personnel shall work the day shift, unless an event is scheduled. If the event is scheduled in an employee’s assigned area, that employee shall work his/her regular turn. Whenever there is a need to utilize additional help during the day, anywhere in the system in the area of the custodial work, an employee scheduled to work afternoon turn shall be given the opportunity by seniority to work day turn. He/she shall be paid at his/her rate of pay they receive on his/her regular job. H. The maintenance classification hours will be flexible to allow for any emergency snow removal.
