Common use of Custody of Materials Clause in Contracts

Custody of Materials. The Contractor shall be responsible for the custody of all materials received for incorporation into the project, including Government furnished materials, upon delivery to the Contractor or to any person for whom it is responsible, including subcontractors. The Contractor shall deliver all items to the site as soon as practicable. The Contractor shall clearly mark in a manner directed by the Contracting Officer all items of which the Contractor has custody but that have not been delivered or secured at the site. The Contractor shall clearly indicate the use of such items for this U.S. Government project.
