Common use of Customer Responsibility for the Customer Environment Clause in Contracts

Customer Responsibility for the Customer Environment. Customer acknowledges that the Services are implemented in a manner that allows Customer to deploy certain elements of the Services into a Customer Environment for purposes of facilitating Customer’s storage and processing of Customer Data. As between the parties, Customer is solely responsible for: (a) all technical and organizational measures related to the security and integrity of the Customer Environment; and (b) securing and backing up Customer Data stored and processed by Customer within the Customer Environment. Customer expressly assumes the risks associated with the foregoing responsibilities. Cloudera is not responsible for and has no liability whatsoever with regard to: (i) the Customer Environment; or (ii) any loss, destruction, alteration, or corruption of Customer Data stored within the Customer Environment.
