Dark Fiber Transport. 6.4.1 Dark Fiber Transport is strands of optical fiber existing in aerial or underground structure. BellSouth will not provide line terminating elements, regeneration or other electronics necessary for Lightning Communications to utilize Dark Fiber Transport. 6.4.2 If Dark Fiber Transport is not readily available but can be made available through routine network modifications, as defined by the FCC, Lightning Communications may request BellSouth to perform such routine network modifications. The request may not be used to place fiber. Each request will be handled as a project on an individual case basis. BellSouth will provide a price quote for the request, and upon receipt of payment by Lightning Communications, BellSouth shall perform the routine network modifications.
