Dark Fiber Transport is offered in two configurations: Interoffice Channel, between Granite’s collocation arrangement within the POP serving wire center and the end user service wire center and Local Channel, from Granite’s POP to Granite’s collocation arrangement in the POP serving wire center. It may be strands of optical fiber existing in aerial or underground structure. BellSouth will not provide line terminating elements, regeneration or other electronics necessary for Granite to utilize Dark Fiber Transport.
