Common use of Data and Documentation Clause in Contracts

Data and Documentation. 1. All data stored in the system shall remain the property of the County no matter where the data resides (i.e. cloud, internal network, etc...). If data is stored in the cloud, the County must be listed as a co-owner with the vendor on any contract with a cloud services vendor (i.e. Amazon, Rackspace, etc.) for the sole purpose of data retrieval or service continuance in the event of dissolution. Vendor must maintain financial obligations during the term of the contract.
