Common use of Data Gathering Clause in Contracts

Data Gathering. A. Student evaluations shall be conducted in a manner that protects student anonymity and employee confidentiality. Such protection, as a minimum, shall include third party collection of completed evaluations. The information will be typed before it is shared to ensure confidentiality. B. To assist the professional development of the adjunct instructor, the supervising administrator will consult with the department chair, and director or professional partner as appropriate, to review the student data and offer input to the supervising administrator prior to their sharing the information with the adjunct academic employee. The information will be shared by the end of the second week of instruction of the following quarter. C. The original data will be placed in locked confidential files with access limited to the appropriate administrators. Academic employees may inspect their individual files. D. As a result of this review, the appropriate supervising administrator may request a conference between the administrator and the employee to discuss the results. Conferences for adjunct academic employees with the appropriate supervising administrator may be held at the request of either party.
