Common use of Date of Taking Clause in Contracts

Date of Taking. For purposes of this Article 6, the “date of taking” shall be deemed to be the date on which the whole or substantially all of the Premises, or a part thereof, as the case may be, shall have vested in any lawful power or authority of the government of the United States of America or such other governmental authority having jurisdiction.
